TERMS & CONDITIONS

Your membership to The Hive is conditional on acceptance of the following T&C. Benefits of membership can be found on the website and are subject to change. If there are any changes to your membership we will notify you by email.

Access to events online and in-person are included in your membership fee. Your membership fee includes access to 1 x in-person brunch event per month. Should a member wish to attend additional in-person brunches in a 1 month period then this is subject to an additional fee.

Dates and venues for events are subject to change due to holidays/factors out of our control but we will endeavour to notify you of any changes with as much notice as possible by email and via the members Facebook group. Unless specified you are liable for your own food and beverages at events.

Certain additional events (such as the Xmas Office party and specialist workshops) may be organised on an ad hoc basis supplementary to your membership and are subject to an additional cost. You are under no obligation to attend these events.

We reserve the right to deny membership and refuse access to our events in-person and online.  We shall not be obliged to provide explanation for such refusal and not be liable for such action.

The Hive closed Facebook group is a private space to provide support and advice, shout about your successes and help you when you are struggling. All members will be invited into this group and we encourage you to use this as a valuable business resource. Anything discussed on this page should not be shared outside of the group.

Members must abide by the rules of participation in the group, which can be found in the FB group pinned post.

Any member who continuously and deliberately breaks these rules will be removed from the group.

Under these circumstances, the membership fees will be cancelled after the minimum monthly term and one month’s notice period, not before.

Renewal fees are set by The Hive and we reserve the right to review these at any time.

If you join on a discounted rate, that discount only applies for that years subscription. Any renewal amount will be set at our standard member rate. Fees are outlined on our website and subject to change without prior notice.

Honorary membership is provided at the discretion of The Hive. This may be withdrawn at any time.

The Hive is open to all businesses. Unlike more traditional networking groups there is no limit on the number of members from the same profession able to join. We believe in community over competition, and this is something our members also need to adhere to. In the extremely unlikely event that a member behaves in a manner not fitting to the key beliefs of The Hive we reserve the right to terminate your membership at any time with no refund given.

We will respect the information you give us in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. You agree that it is your responsibility to keep your data accurate and up to date.  We will use your data to administer your membership.

We will use your email address to communicate The Hive information to you. You have the option to update your preferences and opt out of emails from us at any time during your membership.

We ask that members register in advance wherever possible to let us know if they are attending each meet-up. This is to give us an idea of numbers expected for each event.

Your membership gives you exclusive access to our Members Club area of the website, including a Members Directory. Any details shared by our members in the Members Directory are only to be used for genuine enquiries, collaboration or business requests, not for unsolicited email marketing. In line with GDPR regulations, email addresses in this database cannot be used for email marketing purposes unless specific individual consent is given.

All materials and resources on The Hive website and Facebook group are copyrighted and are to be used for members individual use only for the duration of their membership.
