Do I need to be a mum to join the Mama Hive?
NO! Despite the name, you don’t need to be a mum to join the Hive. The majority of our members are mothers but we have lots of women in the Hive who aren’t mums. We are open to all women.
Do I need to have an established business to join?
Nope. You might be working on an idea right now, running a side-hustle alongside a full time career, or on maternity leave figuring out if you want to return to work or work for yourself. Whatever stage you are at in your business journey, we are here to help.
I can’t make all the meet-ups, can I still join?
Absolutely. You are all busy women - which is why we have a Pick n Mix variety of workshops, networking and brainstorming sessions held in the mornings and evenings on a Monday-Friday, giving you lots of flexibility to choose what works for you. We record all our guest speaker talks too, so you can catch up at a time that suits you.
Will there be other members of the same profession as me in the Hive?
In short - most likely yes. We have over 100 members representing a huge range of industries. And unlike traditional networking groups we don’t do industry lockouts. We believe in the power of community over competition, and expect our members to uphold the same values.
Can I join from anywhere in the UK?
You sure can. Membership is based on a mixture of online and IRL events. Our IRL meet-ups are currently held in Herts, UK (as this is where we started), but as our Hive community grows we will be adding new locations to meet members needs. If you are based outside of Herts and want to start your own brunch meet-up in your home town then why not join our team as a Hive Host?
Do you offer multi-memberships?
Yes we do! If you have a partner or several members of staff working in your business we can arrange multiple memberships under one company. Just email email@example.com for more info.
Are kids welcome?
Children are more than welcome at the Brunch events. We often have babes in arms (I am always happy to hold them so you can eat with both hands!) and toddlers at these meet-ups. Evening meet-ups are generally adult only, because of the time and it is often very noisy. Although obviously if you have a newborn and want to bring them you are always welcome to do so - we are here to help!
